Hair Loss Causes And Treatment

How to deal with hair loss?

Hair loss is a natural process. Every day we lose between 50 and 100 strands. If you lose more than 100 hairs daily, probably you need hair loss treatment. But to adopt the proper treatment, you first have to determine what causes the problem.

Every woman /and man/ would like to have beautiful, healthy and thick hair. Of course the gorgeous mane is more important for the women. It gives them confidence and adds attractiveness and femininity to their image.

Hair loss is not just a cosmetic problem, so if you find that your hair falls above normal, seek immediate medical advice. Only a specialist could determine the cause and prescribe proper treatment.

If the cause for the hair loss is not health related, it is time to think what part of your daily regimen and lifestyle causes the problem. Maybe it is the frequent washing with a harsh shampoo, or the use of too many styling products, the excess use of hairdryer, etc. Known are four major types of hair loss:
1. alopecia androgenica, male balding type or total hair thinning;
2. alopecia areata starts with a bald spot on the top of the head and gradually extends to other parts of the head;
3. alopecia totalis causes complete hair loss;
4. alopecia universalis causes total body hair loss.

Why does hair fall out?

In different periods of woman’s live susceptibility to this disease varies. Postpartum hair loss is a good example, almost half of the women experience hair renovation. The postmenopausal hormonal imbalance causes total hair thinning.

The poor scalp’s blood supply is one of the most common causes of hair loss. This condition can be provoked by different external factors. For example, too much coffee and smoking can cause spasms in blood vessels and thereby affect hair’s nutrition.

Mental trauma can also cause hair loss. Although alopecia is not well studied, specialists say it could be caused by a number of diseases such as thyroid problems, poor quality vaccines, stress, anemia, unhealthy diets, etc. The most common cause appears to be the weight lost. If you follow a vegetarian diet, you may experience a lack of protein and iron, which can lead to hair loss.

The medical hair loss treatments include lotions, emulsions, shampoos, hormonal treatment and steroids.

But in long terms, some of these treatments can provoke many side effects as increased appetite, weight gaining, high blood pressure and weakening of bones.

There are many effective homemade hair loss treatments. Particularly useful are the garlic, the daily massage of the scalp with natural and essential oils. Also, try to adopt a healthy lifestyle, exercise regularly, do not drink too much coffee, and stop smoking. Keep your tresses warm in winter and away from the sun in summer.
