How Often Should You Wash Your Hair?

Do you wash your hair too often? Are you one of those women who wash their hair every day? Do you wonder if the frequent washing damages your hair and scalp?

Well, there isn’t a simple answer. In fact it depends on hair type, length, density, texture. The general rule is that the fine, straight locks get oily quicker than the thick and curly hair.

Whatever your hair type is, try not to wash it every single day. Dermatologists recommend not to wash the hair more frequently than once every other day.

The more often you wash your hair, the faster it becomes greasy. Frequent washing weakens the hair, making it dry and damaged.

Do you need help?
If your hair is greasy a few hours later or on the next day, do not hesitate to seek professional help from a dermatologist. Too much grease too soon is a sign of excessive sebum production, which could be a sign of some underlying disease.

While shampooing hair daily is not recommended, some women are supposed to. If this is your case, just try to follow some basic rules.
First, choose a shampoo for daily use. These hair washes are mild and gentle, and don’t dry the scalp and the locks too much. Another option is to try some baby shampoo, if you like the result, just stick to it.
A different approach is to alternate the shampoo with conditioner. Conditioners do not strip the natural hair moisture and are not as aggressive as they don’t contain surfactants. Find your routine, one day shampoo, the other day conditioner, or one day shampoo, two or three days conditioner. Once you find what works best for you, you will be pleasantly surprised by the result.

Dry shampoo instead of daily washing

Another option is to use dry shampoo. The consistency of the dry shampoo is powder like. It cleans without water by absorbing the excess sebum of the scalp and hair roots.
Its use is simple - just sprinkle the powder over the top of your head; if necessary, spread some of the product down the length of the hair with a brush, wait 15 minutes to settle and comb carefully to remove the powder.
Dry shampoos are very suitable for quick fixes.
You can buy or make your own homemade dry shampoo, your choise.
